About me
Here’s the truth: writing about yourself is harder than it seems. But my story is why I do what I do — so here it is.
I’m a mix of science, sacred, and a little bit of magic. (Okay, a lot of science — that’s my background!) I’ve spent decades obsessing over how the body works, how to fix imbalances, put and how to bounce back when life knocks you down. And believe me, I’ve been knocked down.
I’m not your traditional personal trainer. I don’t focus on heart rate zones, sets, and reps. My work is about optimizing wellness, restoring function, and helping you attune to your body’s own wisdom. Think of me as a kind of user manual for your body — helping you better understand its inner workings so you can move, feel, and live with more ease.
I specialize in supporting people through pain, chronic pain, trauma, dysfunction, and the process of restoring a healthy relationship with their bodies. My sessions are not “one-size-fits-all.” They’re adaptive, restorative, and designed to meet you as you are on any given day. Think less “bootcamp” and more reclaiming function, strength, and vitality in a way that actually lasts.
I grew up in track and field, mainly as a sprint hurdler. We used to joke we’d all have arthritis by 30 — pounding pavement, throwing ourselves into padded walls to mimic track lanes. It was intense, unsustainable, but when you’re young, you bounce… until you don’t.
By my mid-30s, that bounce was abruptly taken. At 35, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Overnight, my life flipped. Emergency surgery, recovery, identity crisis — the works. I thought I was “healthy” because I was fit. I wasn’t. That life episode became the catalyst — my major wake-up call.
Since then, I’ve faced more surgeries, accidents, injuries, and health challenges than most people. Each one has forced me deeper into my own toolbox, expanding my education and study — but more importantly, demanding implementation, experimentation, and sheer will to keep showing up for my wellness.
Every setback has tested me deeply. Recently, I even went through an extreme “stuck phase” that left me questioning whether my own tools even worked. That’s tough as a health practitioner — how do you show up for others when you’re doubting your own processes?
Part of that “stuckness” came from a pile-up of life events that were, frankly, monumental. Stress stacked on stress — circumstances that would have broken me completely if I hadn’t already had years of deep wellness practice to fall back on. Even with all I knew, the impact was enormous. I became “dis-eased” in a way that ultimately required surgery.
And yet, I am profoundly grateful for what I did know. My understanding of movement, nutrition, nervous system regulation, and soul-work didn’t erase the challenges, but it gave me the resilience to survive them, to keep going, to keep growing, and to stay committed to supporting my wellness.
This is why I do this work — because I know what it’s like to be in the middle of chaos, and I know what it takes to rise from it.
The harsh reality is that we’re often most motivated by dis-ease and illness. And yet, through it all, I rediscovered what I already knew — the tools I share with others do work. Movement. Energy. Nutrition. Coaching. They aren’t buzzwords — they’re lifelines to vitality.
And here’s the truth about aging: it’s not just about losing collagen or elasticity. It’s about stuck energy, old injuries, unresolved emotions, toxins, and patterns that live in the tissues. That’s what wears us down. But it’s also what we can release, rewire, and heal.
I plan to live into my 90s — moving well, fully alive — and I want the same vitality for you.
My Approach
I don’t believe in separating the body from the mind, or the emotions from the spirit. Healing requires the whole self. The three pillars that carried me through cancer, surgery, and recovery are the same ones I share with my clients today:
Movement – Restoring strength, function, and energy. From reconnecting with your core, rebuilding functional movement, to re-patterning old injuries, movement has always been my medicine, from the need for super gentle and acute recovery all the way up truly building resilliance in the body where we can shed that vulbnerable feeling.
Holistic Health – Clearing toxins, balancing hormones, rebuilding gut health, and untangling stress. I’ve lived through the mess of burnout, poor sleep, chronic dysregulation and inflammation. It only takes re-enginerring the problem…tough living in our modern society, certainly attainable for where ever your intention is pointed…you shall have it.
Being Human Coaching– Illness broke me open. It pushed me into questions of identity, purpose, and meaning. Through holistic coaching, I discovered that healing isn’t just about the body — it’s about returning to your authentic self. There are many names for it, this holistic approachThe Great Work: the ongoing practice of soul-work, self-reconnection, and healing from the inside out.
What About You?
The most important question isn’t about me. It’s about you.
Do you believe you can heal yourself?
Do you want to heal?
Do you trust your inner wisdom — even more than doctors, tests, or even me?
Do you see yourself as a sacred human navigating this life for a greater purpose?
If you’re nodding, you’re in the right place.
If you’re not nodding yet — but want to believe — you’re still in the right place.
Because healing is possible. Bounce is possible. Wholeness is possible.
I know, because I’ve lived it. And I’m here to help you live it too.
